Escoffier On Line exists to preserve the history of Auguste Escoffier and other great chefs. As part of its services, it offers an online job network to help foodservice companies fill such positions as executive chef, chef instructor, food and beverage manager, and nearly any other type of culinary career and hospitality position.
After registering to use Escoffier On Line’s Chef Jobs Network, employers can post what industry segment they are hiring for, preferred education, and years of experience, salary, and job location. Job seekers respond to the posting with their résumés either to the employer’s personal e-mail or to their private inbox on the site. For added exposure, employers also can place an ad for the open position.

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) is a nonprofit international scientific society with 22,000 members working in food science, technology, and related professions. It operates the IFT Career Center for job seekers from a variety of backgrounds. Employers who register with the career center can find candidates specializing in R&D, culinary, production, manufacturing, engineering, and more.
IFT also hosts an annual IFT Employment Bureau recruiting event at its Annual Meeting & Food Expo (AMFE). The expo attracts up to 20,000 attendees from a variety of food disciplines. The Employment Bureau allows companies to conduct face-to-face interviews and provides an online appointment-scheduling calendar. This year’s Annual Meeting & Food Expo will take place June 28–July 1 in New Orleans.

The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) is a nonprofit association that provides professional development and networking opportunities for its 4,000 members in 35 countries.
At the association’s Web site, job seekers and employers can visit the “Career Center” page to take advantage of the network operated by JobTarget.com. Employers can search résumés for free, and when they find ones that interest them, purchase the résumés for $35 each. Employers also can post a job for various amounts, depending on whether or not they are a member. For example, a 30-day job posting costs $40 for members and $125 for nonmembers.

To provide job assistance, the National Restaurant Association (NRA) partners with Hcareers, an online employment bulletin board for the hospitality industry. Hcareers is a subsidiary of onTargetjobs, Inc.
Employers can copy and paste their job descriptions and requirements onto an online form with an option to hide the company information for confidentiality. Also employers can choose to have respondents reply online to maintain confidentiality. Thousands of job seekers will view the job posting, plus Hcareers will automatically e-mail potential candidates about the job posting.
Each job posting remains on the Hcareers Web site for 30 days. The normal cost to post a job is $425, but NRA members can post a job for $187.50.
