[2006-04-06]   Famous Dave's of America, Inc. President and CEO David Goronkin announced today that Backyard BBQ, Inc., has purchased the right to franchise a total of seven Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que® restaurants in Orange County, California.

The development agreement provides Backyard BBQ with the exclusive right to open Famous Dave's restaurants in Orange County, with the exception of Knott's Berry Farm.

"With our recent successful openings in California, we are excited to build momentum and plan for future growth in the State," said David Goronkin, President and CEO of Famous Dave's. Famous Dave's currently has locations in Gilroy and Palmdale, California, both of which opened earlier this year.
