Blaze Pizza announced the opening of its first store in Knoxville, Tennessee, located in Town and Country Commons, at the corner of Kingston Pike and Peters (113 North Peters Road), near Jason’s Deli, Panera Bread, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The company is offering free build-your-own artisanal pizzas November 21 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing build-your-own pizza chain, announced that its 70th restaurant is set to open in March in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. The fast-casual pizza chain, known for its chef-driven recipes and casually hip restaurants, also announced that it has signed new franchise agreements that will add Denver and Portland to its expansion plans. In total, the company now has agreements in place to open a total of 331 restaurants in 36 states and Washington, D.C.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza will soon open locations in Westfield’s Topanga Mall and the University of Southern California. The fast-casual concept, known for its chef-driven menu and casually hip restaurants will expand its footprint to 11 locations in the Los Angeles area by early 2015. Blaze Pizza comes to Canoga Park in October 2014 with its new restaurant opening in Westfield’s Topanga Mall. In January 2015, Trojans will get the Blaze experience, at it opens at USC’s University Gateway Center.
Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza announced it has signed three new area development agreements to open Blaze Pizza franchise restaurants in Boston, Dallas, and Phoenix. The fast-casual pizza chain now has commitments to build 252 franchise units in 24 states and Washington D.C.
“Our long-term goal is to build a strong, enduring national brand,” says Jim Mizes, president and COO of Blaze Pizza. “To that end, we are partnering with a small group of elite-level multi-unit franchisees to build a concentration of Blaze Pizza restaurants in key markets across the country.”
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced the appointment of Allen Arroyo as chief financial officer. A veteran of the restaurant industry, Arroyo brings decades of experience to his role as CFO of Blaze Pizza. Previously, he served as CFO for Z’Tejas and Mastro’s Restaurants and held multiple financial roles at IHOP Corp. during his 18-year tenure, bolstering the company’s national growth.
Outside a new Memphis-area Wingstop, a small crowd of locals gathers for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening. The restaurant looks like most others in the Texas-based brand’s portfolio—a modest sign with a signature dark green sans serif type protrudes from a beige concrete exterior, aviation paraphernalia reminiscent of the ’30s and ’40s brings an air of nostalgia to the interior, and the menu boasts a selection of classic and boneless wings with 11 different sauce options.
Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza announced that Millennial Restaurant Group, a partnership between franchise veterans Junior Bridgeman and Jim Patterson, has signed an agreement to develop 30 Blaze Pizza franchise units in Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. With the addition of Millennial, the build-your-own pizza concept now has agreements with 23 franchise partners that include commitments to build 240 restaurants in 19 states and Washington DC over the next three to five years.
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced the opening of its newest location in the Carlsbad Premium Outlets in Carlsbad, California. The new 59-seat restaurant, which features an outdoor patio for afternoon and evening dining, is located in the center near Rubio’s Mexican Grill, Starbucks, and Ruby’s Diner.
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced the opening of its newest location in Brookfield, Wisconsin, at the Brownstones Shopping Center. To celebrate, the restaurant is set to offer its custom built, “fast-fire’d” artisan pizzas free to Blaze Pizza’s Facebook fans on Tuesday, November 19, between 3 and 9 p.m. Those who "like" the Blaze Pizza page on Facebook can print out a screen shot or present it on their mobile device to obtain their free pizza at the Brookfield restaurant. The new 60-seat restaurant is located at 17530 W. Bluemound Road, between Metro Mart and TJ Maxx.
