Buffets, Inc., parent company of Old Country Buffet, Hometown Buffet, Country Buffet, Ryan’s, and Fire Mountain family-dining restaurants, reported positive same-store sales growth for a second quarter in a row, producing Buffets’ best annual same-store comp sales performance in eight years.
Buffets, Inc. announced the recent appointment of finance professional Keith Kravcik as chief financial officer and the creation of a new position of director, office of the CEO and corporate administration, promoting long-time Buffets administrator Jackie Fiebelkorn.
Kravcik will be responsible for all finance, accounting, purchasing, and IT functions, as well as continuing to strengthen the back-office services organization for one of the country’s largest steak-buffet restaurant companies.
Buffets, Inc., parent company of Old Country Buffet, Hometown Buffet, Country Buffet, Ryan’s, and Fire Mountain restaurants, which are popular for their family dining experience, reported sales up 1.7 percent for the quarter ending April 3, 2013, the best year-over-year quarterly comparable sales performance in seven years.
Company officials attribute the improvement to the fast-track implementation of its turnaround blueprint entitled the “Plan to Win” that was launched last July.
Buffets, Inc. is proud to announce its latest tie-in with country music, this time with the singer/songwriter/actor Billy Ray Cyrus and his 13th studio album, “Change My Mind”.
Beginning April 11, guests can pick up Cyrus’ latest CD at Ryan’s, Country Buffet, HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, and Fire Mountain for a special $8.99 price, while supplies last.
Proceeds from the CDs will support the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) for Operation Outdoors, a camp program that assists the children of military personnel during deployment.
