The combined influence of better-burger restaurants and the fast-casual customization model has had a profound impact on what burger brands now offer consumers. A recent survey by Chicago-based technology and services company Food Genius, which measures menu mentions at restaurant across the U.S., shows that while traditional ingredients like onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms are still the most popular topping options, more unique foods are taking root at burger concepts across the country.

Burger 21 Celebrates First South Florida Store

Burger 21, a new burger franchise founded by the owners of The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Davie, Florida. This location is one of four units to be developed in Broward County over the next several years. Currently, Burger 21 has 12 restaurants open and 20 franchised locations in development across the U.S.

 

Burger 21 Ends 2013 with Same-Store Sales Growth

Burger 21, a better-burger franchise founded by the owners of The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., announced strong growth in 2013 with eight new franchise agreements signed to develop 14 units as part of its aggressive growth strategy to bring its burgers and shakes to more cities across the country. The average unit volume increased from $1.47 million to $1.75 million, a 19-percent increase over last year. Additionally, the company reported a 2.6-percent same-stores sales increase for its first two company-owned restaurants in Tampa, Florida.

Burger 21 announced the opening of its first restaurant in Ashburn, Virginia, located at 43800 Central Station Drive. This location is one of four units to be developed in the greater Washington, D.C., area over the next several years. Currently, Burger 21 has 11 restaurants open and 17 franchised locations in development across the U.S.

Burger 21 Announces Grand Opening in Fort Myers, FL

Burger 21, a new better-burger franchise founded by the owners of The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., announced the grand opening of its first restaurant in the Fort Myers, Florida, market, located in the Gulf Coast Town Center at 9902 Gulf Coast Main Street, D150. Furthering its expansion in Southwest Florida, the brand also signed its second franchise agreement for the Sarasota market.

Burger 21 announced the signing of its first franchise agreement in Arizona. The deal will bring the first Burger 21 restaurant in the western U.S. to Chandler, Arizona, further expanding the brand’s footprint to a total of nine states and positioning it for further growth westward. To date, Burger 21 has nine open locations and 17 franchised restaurants in development across the country.

Burger 21, founded by the owners of The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., announced the opening of its first restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina, located in Ballantyne Village at 14825 Ballantyne Village Way.
