Burger King Gets Spring Fever with New Burger Fest Menu

Whether you’re experiencing a case of spring fever or have been counting down the days awaiting the calendar’s “official” first day of spring, Burger King is ready to turn up the heat and celebrate the season with the new Burger Fest menu. 

Burger King Worldwide unveiled a lineup of 12 menu items, ranging from a variety of sandwiches, refreshing beverages, and savory sides.

Burger King made waves in 2012 when it overhauled its marketing and menu items in an effort to compete more directly with competitors like McDonald’s and Wendy’s.

Turns out the brand wasn’t done with its evolution. In the last month, Burger King has refreshed its menu even further, a move that has included a new coffee program, a value-menu update, and product rollouts like the Turkey Burger LTO.

The new coffee program could prove to be the strongest long-term strategy, a direct play for the growing customer base turning to quick serves for their morning pick-me-up.

Burger King Goes 2 for $5 with Signature Sandwiches

Burger King Worldwide is inviting guests to mix and match their favorite sandwiches at an unbeatable price.

Available for a limited-time only at participating Burger King restaurants, guests can select two sandwiches for just $5 from three signature options, including the iconic WHOPPER Sandwich, the Original Chicken Sandwich, or the Premium Alaskan Fish Sandwich. 

Wendy's Ranks No. 1 for Kid-Friendly, Healthy Options

According to Restaurant DemandTracker, a recent survey of restaurant customers in the United States, households with younger kids are much more likely to seek out restaurants with kid-friendly menus, and many of those consumers are looking for healthier food items on the menu for their families.

Households with younger children are especially likely to value a kid-friendly menu and slightly more likely to value healthy menu choices than households with older children.

Burger King Franchise Serves Up Employee Safety

Employees are less likely to suffer from slips, falls, burns, or strains at nineteen Burger Kings because Republic Foods found a better way to handle cooking oil in its franchise restaurants. Republic Foods installed an automated oil management system from Restaurant Technologies Inc. (RTI). Now, employees enjoy easily managing the restaurant oil – because it can be added, filtered, and disposed of, even while hot, without ever needing to touch a drop.

BK Perks Up Coffee Offerings with 10 New Items

Burger King Worldwide revealed its refreshed coffee platform available in restaurants nationwide, blended by Seattle’s Best Coffee.

Introducing a new, 100 percent Latin American Arabicabean custom blend crafted with BK guests in mind, consumers can opt for hot or iced coffee in a variety of flavors like vanilla, mocha, and caramel. 

Additionally, for the first time ever this March, guests are invited to indulge in a café-quality latté that is rich in flavor.   

BK Sustains Customer Perception, Study Shows

Burger King seems to have dodged a consumer-perception bullet in the U.S. so far in the aftermath of its recent U.K. horse meat scandal, despite the press attention it received in the U.S., according to YouGov BrandIndex, a daily brand consumer perception research service.

In the U.K., Burger King saw its perception levels quickly drop into the negative territory when it admitted traces of horse DNA had been found in its supplies. Buzz scores in the U.K. declined from 2 percent to -15, while its overall brand health score fell from -8 to -18. 

Pac-Man is Back, and Burger King's Playing a Role

41 Entertainment announced that it has entered into a global kids promotion with Burger King Worldwide for the “PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures” property worldwide. 

The television series is slated to begin broadcast in fall 2013.

The promotion is scheduled to begin in January 2014 and run for six to eight weeks in company-owned and participating franchised Burger King restaurants. 

Guests who purchase a BK Kids Meal at participating restaurants will receive one of six themed toys with their meal. 

BK Shows Some Love with BOGO Chicken Sandwich Offer

As the Valentine’s Day decorations slowly start to appear, Burger King Worldwide is showing guests the love by bringing back a fan-favorite deal on a beloved menu item.

Now through Sunday, February 17, participating Burger King restaurants will serve up the brand’s classicOriginal Chicken Sandwich and its popular specialty varieties, including the new Philly Original Chicken Sandwich and the popular Italian Original Chicken Sandwich, with an offer to buy one sandwich, get one of equal or lesser value for free.
