SecureConnect Serves Up Security at Burger King, Cosi

C.R. Restaurant, Inc., a multi-unit franchisee in the quick-serve and fast-casual market, has implemented SecureConnect managed security solutions in all 30 of its Burger King and Così locations.

The services provide all locations with a robust PCI compliance offering including managed network security, secure customer Wi-Fi access, and an online PCI training module to train all employees on proper credit card handling procedures.  

BK Offers Crown Design Contest, Trip to Legoland

The BK CROWN Program at BURGER KING is letting creativity reign with its new Design The Crown contest! Beginning today, budding artists (ages 6-12) are invited to unleash their creativity and design their very own BURGER KING Crown for a chance to win a family trip to a LEGOLAND Park and be featured on BK CROWN kids meal crowns nationwide.

The Push for Humane

With more consumers interested in knowing where their food comes from, a growing number of quick-service companies are either pressuring their suppliers to improve the humane treatment of animals or switching food suppliers altogether. Cage-free eggs, gestation crate–free pigs, and free-range chickens are showing up on more quick-service menus throughout the country.

BK Offers $1 Smoothies, Frappes This Weekend

BURGER KING restaurants nationwide are helping guests beat the heat and celebrate this holiday weekend with cool, new Strawberry Banana and Tropical Mango Real Fruit Smoothies or Sweet Mocha and Caramel Frappés!

This Saturday, May 26, Sunday, May 27, and Monday, May 28, participating BURGER KING restaurants will offer 12 ounce Strawberry Banana and Tropical Mango Real Fruit Smoothies or Mocha and Caramel Frappés for just $1 each, at participating restaurants.

DTT Secures 37-Store Deal with BK in Seattle, Alaska

DTT announced today an agreement with a Seattle-based Burger King franchise, Flynn Olympic Restaurant Group. After completing a pilot at one location, the Flynn group contracted two additional stores, followed shortly thereafter by more than 30 locations. 

Stores are located in and around Seattle and various parts of Alaska. Installations began on Monday, May 14, and will be completed by the end of the month.

In addition to hardware and software, DTT is providing the Flynn Olympic enterprise with a suite of Loss Prevention tools and Managed Services.

Burger King Aims to Reclaim Throne

Embattled burger chain investing a lot of money in its future to get past its recent troubled past.

With Burger King’s announcement of a $750 million, one-year investment in everything from menu to marketing, the burger chain is making a significant push to leave its recent troubles behind.

Supporting the company’s new slogan, “Exciting things are happening at Burger King,” the investment will focus on four priorities: a menu expansion designed to broaden Burger King’s appeal beyond its core of young males, a marketing campaign featuring various celebrities, store renovations, and operations improvements.

Drive-Thru Performance Study 2012 Set to Launch

Since 1998 researchers across the country have undertaken thousands of drive-thru mystery shops each year with one goal in mind: to establish how quick-service restaurant chains are performing in the all-important drive-thru operation. It’s now that time of year again, as research for the study, which is produced by QSR magazine and Insula Research, begins in May.

BK Hands Out Free Samples in Store, on Food Trucks

Now rolling in to a city near you! Burger King has kicked off the biggest sampling campaign in its history, offering free samples of great-tasting items from the brand’s recently expanded menu.

Guests can stop in to their local, participating restaurant to receive the featured free sample, or they can track down one of the 30 BK branded food trucks that are visiting 40 cities nationwide.

Burger King Offers Chicken Wraps for $1 on April 14-15

Burger King restaurants nationwide are inviting consumers to   come in and try new Chicken Wraps this weekend! On Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, Burger King restaurants will offer Chicken Wraps for $1 each.

Guests can choose from either the Honey Mustard or the Ranch versions of the wrap. Each Chicken Wrap weighs in at fewer than 400 calories.
