CiCi’s Makes Region Hub for Expansion

CiCi's Pizza announced plans to open up to 15 new restaurants in the New York City/Northern New Jersey area over the next five years. Executives with the company have targeted Long Island, Staten Island, and Jersey City among potential communities for development with the goal of finding the right franchise partners to operate the restaurants.

CiCi's Exploring International Franchise Opportunities

For the first time in its 28-year history, CiCi's Pizza is extending its franchise opportunity abroad. Executives with the Coppell, Texas, based franchise have specifically targeted Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico for expansion of the brand with the goal of opening the flagship international unit by 2015.

CiCi's Pizza Looks to Expand to Airports

CiCi's Pizza, home of the endless pizza, pasta, salad and dessert buffet, announced that it is exploring growth opportunities in nontraditional venues after introducing several new restaurant prototypes designed exclusively for airports. The initiative to expand in airports marks a significant milestone for the pizza chain, whose nontraditional growth plans also include venues such as casinos, military bases, and universities.

The pizza industry, however, is still fighting back against what it sees as an unfair mandate that will be overly burdensome for pizzeria operators who have highly customizable menu options.

CiCi's Crowns Third-Annual Pizza Throwdown Winner

CiCi’s Pizza announced the winner of its third-annual CiCi’s Pizza Throwdown, held in Murphy, Texas.

With artisan precision and lightning speed, Angel Roldan of the Garland, Texas, CiCi’s Pizza restaurant on North Jupiter Road, stretched, sauced, and baked a full buffet of CiCi’s pizzas, desserts, and garlic parmesan knots in just 24 minutes and 9 seconds, earning him the national title.

Little Caesers Scores High on Value, Low on Taste

According to arecent survey of restaurant customers in the United States, when it comes to identifying what drives loyalty for restaurants, the most commonly cited factors in determining which pizza-takeout restaurant is patronized most often are good value (53 percent), convenient locations (44 percent), low prices (44 percent), good discounts/promotions (42 percent), and fast service (41 percent).
