Del Taco is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2014. The company, which served its first taco in Barstow, California, now has 546 locations nationwide. To celebrate, Del Taco is making a number of classic menu items available for a limited time beginning June 19.
Del Taco Holdings Inc. announced the completion of a debt refinance transaction.
The transaction, led by GE Capital, features an amended senior credit facility with a $220 million term loan and a $40 million revolving line of credit. Incremental net proceeds raised were used for a partial redemption of its senior subordinated debt.
Del Taco is adding even more fresh and bold flavors to the Buck & Under Menu with its new Jacked Up menu items, available for a limited time. Guests will appreciate the flavors of fire-roasted green chiles and Pepper Jack cheese found in the Jacked Up Grilled Chicken Taco and Jacked Up CrunchTada Tostada, for just a buck.
In addition, on April 28, Del Taco is offering a coupon to try a free Jacked Up item with any purchase. Guests can visit the brand’s Facebook to obtain a coupon for a free Jacked Up Grilled Chicken Taco or a Jacked Up CrunchTada Tostada with any purchase.
Del Taco announced three of its franchisees received Multi-Unit Franchisee Magazine’s Annual MVP (Most Valuable Performer) Awards. The industry-wide awards recognize “the power operators, the innovators, and the creative thinkers who have demonstrated outstanding performance in growing both their organization and their brands.” Del Taco is the only quick-service restaurant with three winners. Each Del Taco franchisee winner will receive their award at the 13th Annual Multi-Unit Franchising Conference in Las Vegas, April 23–25, 2014.
Del Taco, serving breakfast for more than 30 years, introduced new breakfast tacos made with eggs and Cheddar cheese. Beginning April 3, and starting at just 75 cents, the breakfast tacos lineup includes Breakfast Tacos with egg and cheese for 75 cents each, a Bacon Breakfast Taco for $1.00 each, the Sausage Breakfast Taco for $1.00 each, and the Steak Breakfast Taco for $1.75 each.
Guests can customize their spice level with their choice of Del Taco’s Taco Sauces.
Del Taco is making waves with its new Epic Surf & Turf Burrito, available beginning March 6 for a limited time. Del Taco’s Epic Surf & Turf Burrito is loaded with shrimp, grilled carne asada steak, lime rice, and cabbage, and is topped with ancho sauce, pico de gallo salsa, and Del Taco’s secret sauce.
