Dunkin’ Lands New Store in West Valley City

The long awaited opening of the first West Valley City Dunkin’ Donuts at 2651 S. 5600 W. is scheduled for this Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 5:00 a.m. But, for guests who just can’t wait to check out the new store, there will be a VIP Party this Monday, September 30 with free samplings of Munchkins and iced or hot coffee for guests who stop in between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. The new restaurant includes a handy drive-thru and is conveniently located in a new business development, near West Valley City’s new Target store.

 

Dunkin’ Franchisees Raise $250K For Special Olympics

Local Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees in Providence, Rhode Island—Joe, Chris, and Cliff Prazeres—and their fellow franchisees, employees, suppliers, and partners exceeded their goal of raising more than $250,000 for Special Olympics Rhode Island at the 5th Annual John Henderson Invitational Golf Tournament held at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island. 

The Prazeres family made a five-year commitment in 2009 to raise $250,000 to help fund the construction of a sports education and training facility at Special Olympics Rhode Island headquarters. 

U.K. To Get Its First Taste Of Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts announced that it has signed agreements with two franchise groups to begin developing Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the United Kingdom. The two agreements call for the development of 50 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Greater London over the next five years, with an initial focus on North London and East London.

The chain is also in advanced discussions with additional franchise partners to help develop a total of 150 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the U.K. over the next five years, which includes the two signed agreements.

Quick-service operators are launching seasonal menu items earlier this fall in an effort to beat their competition to the punch. From pumpkin doughnuts to caramel apple frozen yogurt, fall-flavored menu items are popping up across the industry even before the season has officially begun.

“We usually launch [fall products] in October. But this year, for the first time, we are bringing them out in September,” says Lafeea Watson, spokeswoman for Krispy Kreme. “That’s what the industry seems to be doing.”

Dunkin’ Beefs Up Fall Menu With Sandwich, Pumpkin Items

To help kick off September in a big way, Dunkin’ Donuts is toasting big appetites with the launch of the new Angus Steak Big N’ Toasted breakfast sandwich.

For guests seeking a satisfying breakfast on the go that is larger and heartier than the typical breakfast sandwich, the Angus Steak Big N’ Toasted sandwich features two eggs, Angus steak, and a slice of American cheese, packed between two thick slices of Texas Toast.

The Angus Steak Big N’ Toasted sandwich is available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide for a limited time.

Dunkin’ Donuts Heads to Ogden, Utah

Dunkin' Donuts is making its debut in Ogden, Utah, on Tuesday, August 20, at 4:30 a.m. There will also be a VIP party on Monday, August 19, with free samples of Munchkins and iced or hot coffee for guests who stop in between 6 and 9 a.m.

Sizzling Platter completely remodeled the new restaurant, which includes a drive thru.

Dunkin’ Checks In at Great Wolf Lodge

Dunkin' Donuts is extending its stay in the lodging market with the opening of two new locations at Great Wolf Lodge resorts in Michigan and Virginia. These are the second and third restaurants to open from a franchising agreement between Dunkin' Donuts and Great Wolf Resorts, which debuted its first Dunkin' Donuts location in 2009 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina, one of North America's largest indoor waterpark resorts.

Dunkin’ Lays Out Plans for 45 SoCal Stores

Dunkin’ Donuts announced it has signed its first Southern California multi-unit store development agreements with four franchise groups for a total commitment of 45 new restaurants. The first standalone restaurants are expected to open in 2015 in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Some non-traditional Dunkin’ Donuts locations may open over the next several months.
