Edible Arrangements Opens Shop in India

Edible Arrangements announced that it has opened its first store in Mumbai, India. Last year, Hiten Bajaj, Avinash Khemani, and Ishna Batra signed a Master Franchisee agreement for the development of 20 units throughout the Republic of India. To Prepare for Growth, Edible Arrangements Promotes Four

Edible Arrangements is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its first franchise location, which opened in Waltham, Massachusetts, in August 2001. Positioning itself for growth for the next 10 years and beyond, the company announced the promotion of several key leaders to its executive management team. Kristy Ferguson was named chief strategy officer, Steve Thomas was promoted to chief marketing officer, Matt Bailey was appointed to vice president of operations, and Kaitlin Power was promoted to vice president of ecommerce.

Edible Arrangements Set to 'Go' With Growth, New Concept

Edible Arrangements is ramping up its growth across the globe and, in the meantime, increasing its focus on its Edible to Go quick-serve option.

The Wallingford, Connecticut–based company, which became well known for its fruit arrangements after it launched in 1999, is aiming to open 150 stores in 2011 and 200 stores in 2012.

Tariq Farid, founder and CEO of Edible Arrangements, says the company will strike a balance between opening traditional Edible Arrangements units and those with the Edible to Go concept.
