Venti Tre Concept From Fazoli's Modernizes Italian Fast Casual

The new Italian fast-casual concept Venti Tre Modern Italian, developed by quick-serve giant Fazoli's, has been a hit with consumers since opening its first store two weeks ago in Baltimore. Carl Howard, CEO and president of Fazoli's, attributes this quick success to the brand's ability to attract a young, hip crowd.

“It's more of a next-generation fast-casual restaurant,” Howard says. “It's just got a really cool feel. I think the design compliments the food and the service that we're providing really well.”

Fazoli's Welcomes New Marketing VP

Jonathan Quinn has joined Fazoli's, a premium Italian quick-service restaurant chain, as vice president of marketing. Quinn brings Fazoli's more than 15 years of brand management and marketing expertise, serving such foodservice brands as Bob Evans, Wendy’s, Long John Silver’s, Applebee’s, Damon’s Grill, White Castle, Golden Corral, and T. Marzetti. His experience also includes executive positions with two marketing communications firms.

 

Fazoli's Announced Partnership with Ghirardelli

Fazoli's, the Italian quick-service restaurant, launched its first partnership with Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. Participating Fazoli's locations will serve Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake, a New York–style cheesecake swirled with pumpkin and topped with Ghirardelli Caramel Sauce for $1.99. The limited-time promotion runs through January 5, 2014.

Fazoli’s Celebrates Mothers-In-Law

There’s Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, even Aunt and Uncle Day. So why not Mother-In-Law Day? Well, there is such a day and it’s celebrated on October 27. Mother-In-Law Day was first initiated by a local newspaper editor in Amarillo, Texas, in 1934—Fazoli’s is honoring the day with a promotional offer. On Sunday, October 27, 2013 at participating Fazoli’s restaurants, all mothers-in-law will receive a free Pick-Your-Pasta entrée with the purchase of one of Fazoli’s new Fab Five Entrées.  

Fazoli's Signs Development Agreement for Kentucky

Fazoli's announced it recently signed another development agreement. Dan Markwell of Employer Consulting LLC will open restaurants in Morehead, Mt. Sterling, and Maysville, Kentucky. So far this year, Fazoli's has secured commitments from new and existing franchisees calling for at least nine new locations. Including Markwell's Kentucky development and previously announced locations near Indianapolis; Dubuque, Iowa; and Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Fazoli’s is looking to sign agreements for the development of more than 15 additional restaurants within the coming months.

More Details Emerge on Fazoli’s Fast Casual

More details on Fazoli’s new fast-casual concept were revealed at an event for The Shops at Canton Crossing in Baltimore earlier this week. The Italian quick serve announced that the new brand will be called Venti-Tre, and Fazoli’s CEO Carl Howard hopes the first unit will open its doors in March of next year at The Shops.

Fazoli’s Debuts Fab Five, Raises Funds For Cancer

Fazoli’s launches its second-annual breast cancer awareness fundraiser on September 30, 2013. At the same time, it begins a five-entrée limited-time offer dubbed the “Fab Five.”

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each sale of Pink Lemon Ice for $1.99 will generate a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The organization's mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.

Fazoli's hopes to raise more than $15,000 for the foundation.
