Garbanzo To Open First Arizona Location

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill opens its first Arizona location Sunday, November 24, in Phoenix at 21001 North Tatum Blvd. in the Desert Ridge Marketplace.

The newest Garbanzo restaurant is the Mediterranean concept’s 27th location and the ninth franchise store. It is owned and operated by franchise partner GMG Arizona, which has the rights to develop up to 20 Garbanzo restaurants in the Phoenix area. The group is also considering locations in Tucson, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, and Tempe, Arizona.

Garbanzo Partners with Sodexo for Nontraditional Units

Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill announced the awarding of franchise development rights to Sodexo Inc.

Headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Sodexo operates in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and delivers on-site services in corporate, education, health care, government, and remote site segments, as well as benefits and rewards services and personal and home services.

Garbanzo Opens Doors to First Florida Location

Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill opened its first Florida location in Boca Raton at 7036 West Palmetto Park Rd. in the Garden Shops shopping center.

The new restaurant is the Mediterranean concept’s 26th location and the eighth franchise store to open to date. It is owned and operated by Garbanzo franchisee Garboca, which has the rights to develop up to 20 locations in the south Florida area and is considering real estate in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Garbanzo Tests Gluten-Free Pita in Select CO Units

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill is testing MyBread gluten-free pre-baked pita in its Aurora, Lone Tree, and Glendale, Colorado, locations through April 2014. If the test determines MyBread pita is a viable option for the restaurant concept, additional or all Garbanzo locations will carry the gluten-free product.

Garbanzo Opens Up Shop in Atlanta Airport

 

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a fast casual restaurant concept serving Mediterranean food, opens on Concourse D at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Owned and operated by Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, an airport food service and retail company, the Atlanta airport restaurant is the nation’s first airport-based Garbanzo.

Although most restaurants will change ingredients in an entrée to meet a guest’s request, a growing number of pizza and ethnic eateries are letting diners build their own menu items from scratch.

“It’s a system that delicatessens and street-food vendors worldwide have used for years. For many consumers, the concept of having restaurant staff assemble fresh, high-quality food in front of you to your design has great appeal,” says Darren Tristano, executive vice president of Chicago-based market research firm Technomic Inc.

Garbanzo Flies High With Airport Franchise Agreements

Colorado-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a fast-casual restaurant concept serving Mediterranean cuisine, announced the awarding of franchise development rights to Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, one of the world’s leading airport foodservice and retail companies.

Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services is planning to open its initial Garbanzo location in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport during the summer of 2013. This is the first of numerous restaurants in its preferred partnership agreement with the Mediterranean concept.

Garbanzo’s 3rd MD Location Excited for Grand Opening

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a Colorado-based fast casual restaurant concept featuring made-from-scratch Mediterranean cuisine, is holding the grand opening of its third Maryland location Monday, July 15, in Waugh Chapel Towne Centre. Located at 1406 S. Main Chapel Way in Gambrills, the new restaurant is the third company-owned Garbanzo to open outside Colorado and the 24th location nationwide.
