Florida’s Giardino Gourmet Salads Expands to Nashville

Giardino Gourmet Salads, a fast-casual salad concept from South Florida, will expand to Nashville, Tennessee. The three restaurants will be the franchise’s first outside of Florida. The Osman family, previous owners of Subway restaurants in various cities in Florida and Tennessee, will open these over the span of the next three years, starting in 2015. 

Giardino Gourmet Salads Opens Two New Units

This equals 10 locations for the franchise, just in time for their 10th anniversary this year. Not only does this addition expand the concept in Broward County, it also marks the company’s first multiunit operators.

Giardino Gourmet Salads, a premiere fast casual salad concept of South Florida, has continued its growth path with 10.6 percent positive comparable sales in 2013. This increase comes over a double digit comparable sales increase the prior year, making it the chain’s eighth consecutive quarter of positive comparables.

 

Giardino Hands Supply Responsibilities to SCS

Supply Chain Services, LLC announced an agreement with Giardino Enterprises (“GE”), owner of the Giardino Gourmet Salad restaurant chain in South Florida, to provide supply chain management services for all Giardino Gourmet Salad restaurants.

 

Giardino is an up-and-coming brand in the U.S. SCS will develop a customized supply chain strategy for the Giardino brand, as well as provide day-to-day management of the chain’s food, packaging, and smallwares purchasing and distribution activities.

Typically known for signature, gourmet salads, the catering program boasts a variety of menu options including wraps, boccata sandwiches, lunch boxes, and more. With pricing starting at as low as $7 per person, the company has also developed three new catering packages that make it easier for customers to choose what to order.

 

Latest Numbers Show Giardino Salads Grew By 14.5%

Giardino Gourmet Salads, the fast-casual salad concept founded in Miami in 2004, has taken its growth seriously, boasting a 14.5 percent in year-to-date comparable sales increase as of April 2013.

This positive growth in salesis attributed to several new initiatives implemented by the company, including new menu items, a focus on delivery, and a new operations program aimed at delivering a higher-quality in-store experience.
