Meatheads is offering a special burger for the second summer in a row, “The Goulden Burger,” created in honor of Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould and his public charity, The Goulden Touch. The burger is compiled with all of his favorites: a ⅓ lb. Meatheads burger topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, Ketchapolte, American cheese, and spicy Cajun fries. The burger will be on the menu from June 9 to September 30 for $7.00, and Meatheads will donate 10 percent of the burger sales to The Goulden Touch.
Meatheads, a Chicago-based fast-casual family restaurant, will open its first company-designed freestanding restaurant at 11 a.m. on October 9 at 6734 North Lincoln Avenue in Lincolnwood, Illinois. This is the company’s 13th location. All profits from pre-opening meals will support parent teacher associations at three local elementary schools, as well as Friends of the Lincolnwood Community Center and Chicago Bulldogs Hockey.

For the second year in a row, Meatheads has been named to Inc. Magazine’s 500|5000 list of fastest growing businesses. Meatheads was the highest ranked burger restaurant in the Food and Beverage section of the list, ranking 28th out of the top 100 companies. Meatheads also ranked 79th out of the Top 100 Illinois companies and 72nd on the Chicago metro area list. Overall, Meatheads was ranked 1,420 out of 5000, placing it in the top 30 percent of all companies on the list.
Meatheads, a Chicago-based fast-casual restaurant that provides a full-service dining experience, is kicking off its third year of summer reading with the annual launch of the “2013 Voracious Reading Program.”
The program, which officially starts June 17 and runs until August 31, encourages kids to read books during the summer to stay sharp.
In 2012, the program had participation from more than 65,000 kids, and this year the program is reaching nearly 100,000 kids through local schools and libraries.

Harbison, 40, has more than 25 years experience in operations in the fast-casual industry. He was most recently senior director of operations at Applebee's.
Prior to that, he spent more than a decade as director of operations at the Wisconsin Hospitality Group and a decade as director of operations at Pizza Hut.
