The crème de le crème of the restaurant and foodservice industry gathered on the Monterey Peninsula in California at the 20th Annual Ted J. Balestreri Leadership Classic from March 7-10 in support of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation's (NRAEF) ProStart program.

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) announced it has partnered with Cambro Manufacturing Company to provide culinary equipment and supplies to dozens of in-need high schools across the country.
More than 35 schools across 10 states were the first to benefit from Cambro’s donation, which supports the NRAEF’s ProStart program, a nationwide, two-year high school program that unites the classroom and industry to develop students into tomorrow’s restaurant and foodservice leaders.
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (www.nraef.org) is encouraging restaurant industry professionals to help identify and nominate outstanding candidates for its 2012 awards: the College of Diplomats, the Michael E. Hurst Lifetime Achievement in Education Award, and the Thad and Alice Eure Ambassador of Hospitality Award.
