Panda Express debuted its newest entrée, Golden Szechuan Fish. Made with wild-caught North Pacific Cod and inspired by the culinary flavors of central China, Golden Szechuan Fish combines lightly battered cod fillets, sugar peas, and red bell peppers wok-tossed in a Szechuan sauce.
Some like it hot. And some like it even hotter. Fiery dishes are heating up limited-service menus as operators increasingly recognize consumers’ growing interest in spicy, hot entrées.
A 2013 Consumer Flavor Trend Report by Chicago-based restaurant market research firm Technomic found that a majority of Americans (54 percent) now prefer hot or spicy foods, sauces, dips, and condiments. That’s up from 48 percent in 2011 and 46 percent in 2009.

Panda Express announced the appointment of Bailey Lauerman as its new creative agency of record. The assignment includes strategy, creative development, and promotional advertising for Panda Express’ more than 1,650 fast-casual restaurants located throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, Mexico, and Canada.
The announcement follows a review initiated in October that was managed by External View Consulting Group of Culver City, California.
Panda Express announced it will call the Micronesia Mall home for its first restaurant in Guam. The company is celebrating its entrance into the Guamian community by hosting a grand opening fundraising event on December 5, with 100 percent of the day’s sales being donated to support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which hit the Philippines and surrounding areas earlier this month. The Micronesia Mall is located at 1088 W. Marine Corps Drive, in Dededo.
