American as Fresh Stir Fry

There’s not much that Americans find foreign about Asian food these days.

A variety of limited-service restaurants—chains and independents—feature dishes from one or several Far East cultures.

Peppercorn Shrimp Jumps Onboard at Panda Express

Panda Express debuts Peppercorn Shrimp, its boldest and zestiest creation to date. It is made with plump, marinated shrimp, tender asparagus, chopped yellow onions, and sweet red bell peppers tossed in a sizzling wok with a signature sauce made from bold, Thai green peppercorns, and Asian spices.

Panda Express’ Peppercorn Shrimp is available starting Feb. 15 for a limited time.  

Panda Express to Reward Young Leaders with Party

Panda Restaurant Group, parent company of Panda Express and the nation’s leader in Asian quick-service restaurants, is hosting a holiday party for 180 elementary school students in recognition of its accomplishments in “The Leader in Me” program. Interpreting the Top 100

Every year, many of us anxiously await the release of Technomic’s Fast Casual Top 100 report. Technomic’s Darren Tristano, one of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, gave me an interview and a sneak peek at the report. Here are his thoughts, followed by a few of my own.
