Pineapple is the newest star in the Pollo Tropical kitchens, as the brand introduces its Tangy Pineapple Chicken Wrap and Tangy Pineapple Chicken Salad.

The Tangy Pineapple Chicken Wrap features pineapple grilled with olive oil, cumin, and a hint of black pepper; marinated then flame-grilled chicken breast; Monterey Jack Cheese and Chipotle Mayo wrapped in a thin flatbread, then finished on the Pollo Tropical grill press.

LTO Shrimp Items are Hot Off the Grill at Pollo Tropical

Shrimp is grilling at all Pollo Tropical kitchens for a limited-time-only menu appearance in the Shrimp Create Your Own TropiChop, Shrimp Quesadilla Wrap, and Shrimp Quesadilla Salad.

The Grilled Shrimp Create Your Own TropiChop arrives just in time for the Lent season and can be created using the many fresh ingredients that are part of the create-your-own concept, from yellow or brown rice to lettuce, black beans, and white rice.

Additional toppings include items like corn, sautéed onions, tomatoes, peppers, and more.

Pollo Tropical Cuddles Up with 2-for-$9.99 Valentine's Day Deal

Pollo Tropical is offering a "Two Can Dine for $9.99" deal all day on Thursday, February 14. Guests can text "sweetheart" to 52198 to receive the Valentine's Day coupon code.

The "Two Can Dine for $9.99" deal can be used for lunch or dinner. It features two entrees, including a choice of a small Create Your Own TropiChop or a 1/4 Chicken Platter with rice and beans, along with two regular-size fountain drinks and a regular-size side of yuca sticks or sweet plantains. It also includes a free flan.

Nancy Clark Joins Fiesta Restaurant Group as Chief People Officer

Fiesta Restaurant Group, the owner, operator, and franchisor of the Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana fast-casual restaurant brands, announced that Nancy Clark has joined the company as vice president, chief people officer, effective January 10, 2013.

Clark is a highly regarded human resources business leader with more than 15 years of experience at several high-profile and diverse organizations, including J.C. Penney Corporation, PepsiCo, and General Electric Company.

Pollo Tropical Beefs Up the Menu

Pollo Tropical is introducing beef to its menu for a limited time. With a savory recipe nearly a year in the making, the new offering includes tender beef sauteed with fresh onions and peppers, simmered in a sweet and slightly spicy sauce.

"We created this product for the customer who is looking to mix it up a little," says Jeff Webb, vice president of research and development for Pollo Tropical. "We are always looking for new ideas and this seemed the perfect way to add a little zest to our winter menu."

Pollo Tropical Celebrates Nat'l Soup Month with $1 Soup

Pollo Tropical is celebrating National Taco Soup Day on Wednesday, January 16, with a warm gift for its customers: Caldo Gallego Soup for just $1 all day.

This is the third consecutive year that Pollo Tropical, the famous chicken-on-the-grill restaurant chain, is recognizing National Soup Month. No coupon or additional purchase is necessary; customers simply say "Caldo Gallego" to the cashier to receive the discounted price.

There is a limit of two $1 cups of soup per customer, and the offer is only valid on Wednesday, January 16.
