Qdoba Expands Its Reach in Canada

Canadians can now enjoy the taste of Qdoba Mexican Grill’s wide variety of handcrafted Mexican cuisine, as the brand announced its newest location in London, Ontario.

The newest Qdoba joins the brand’s first-ever Canadian restaurant, which recently opened in Brandon, Manitoba. Both locations will help attract new customers and franchisees north of the United States border. 

Qdoba Introduces Brown Rice to its Menu Nationwide

Qdoba Mexican Grill is proud to introduce brown rice at all participating Qdoba locations. Qdoba’s brown rice is prepared daily with a flavorful blend of roasted garlic, fire-roasted tomatoes, onion, and a hint of red chiles that gives guests a new option to enjoy with their favorite entrée.

Pass the Rewards

Within weeks of Apple’s iOS 6 mobile system launch, Qdoba was offering Chicago customers access to its rewards card through Apple’s new Passbook program.

Passbook—a mobile wallet of sorts—holds everything from movie passes and plane tickets to gift cards and reward cards.

More Than Mexican

Americans’ love affair with ethnic food doesn’t seem to be ebbing. The number of various cultures’ restaurants continues to grow as diners seek new flavors and ingredients from around the world.

According to data from global market research firm Mintel, four in every five Americans who ate out in March 2012 dined at an ethnic restaurant. More than half of them dined at one of the nation’s three largest ethnic restaurant types: Chinese, Mexican, and Italian.

Qdoba Makes Shopping Easy with Gift Card Promo

Many Americans will be purchasing gift cards this holiday season, and Qdoba Mexican Grill, known for its wide variety of fresh and innovative Mexican cuisine, will again make it a rewarding experience for customers by giving them a voucher good for $5 off an entree for every purchase of a $25 Q-Cash gift card.

According to the National Restaurant Association, approximately 78 percent of adults say they would like to received restaurant gift cards or certificates on gift occasions, and many purchasers are hoping to find holiday deals when buying gifts.

Qdoba President and CEO Gary Beisler Retires

Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jack in the Box that operates and franchises Qdoba Mexican Grill, announced that president and CEO Gary J. Beisler plans to retire from the company.

A search is underway to indentify a successor to Beisler, who will continue to serve in his current capacities until a successor is named. 

The company also announced that Jeffrey Wood is joining the company as Qdoba's vice president and chief development officer.

The National Restaurant Association’s (NRA) groundbreaking Kids LiveWell initiative is marking its first anniversary this week, as the first-of-its-kind voluntary industry program reaches more than 100 participating restaurant brands committed to providing families with a growing selection of healthful children’s menu choices when dining out.

Qdoba Mexican Grill is encouraging its guests to share the love again on Feb. 14 with the return of its popular BOGO for a Kiss Valentine’s Day promotion. Qdoba guests who purchase one entrée at any participating Qdoba restaurant on Valentine’s Day and then share a kiss with a significant other, friend, family member, or even an understanding stranger at the cash register will receive a second entrée of equal or lesser value for free.
