Qdoba’s Mango Salad LTO is Back

Qdoba Mexican Grill kicks off summer early with the return of its popular, limited-time Mango Salad. The Mango Salad will be available in all restaurants starting May 6, while supplies last.

Qdoba’s Mango Salad features mango salsa, which is packed with a combination of mangos, cucumbers, and red bell peppers, served over a bed of romaine lettuce and drizzled with a cilantro-lime vinaigrette dressing. The fan favorite is a vegetarian entrée option that also pairs well with Qdoba’s signature adobo marinated grilled chicken for those who want to add more protein.

Small Portions a Big Idea

Small portions are very big these days.

Many 2013 trend predictions determined that small plates and snacking are expected to be popular among chefs and restaurant operators this year. While diners are still eating during the traditional meal times—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—they are eating less at those times, opting instead to have five or more smaller meals a day.

The newest Qdoba joins the brand’s first-ever Canadian restaurant, which recently opened in Brandon, Manitoba. Both locations will help attract new customers and franchisees north of the United States border.

Passbook—a mobile wallet of sorts—holds everything from movie passes and plane tickets to gift cards and reward cards.

More Than Mexican

Americans’ love affair with ethnic food doesn’t seem to be ebbing. The number of various cultures’ restaurants continues to grow as diners seek new flavors and ingredients from around the world.

According to data from global market research firm Mintel, four in every five Americans who ate out in March 2012 dined at an ethnic restaurant. More than half of them dined at one of the nation’s three largest ethnic restaurant types: Chinese, Mexican, and Italian.
