Red Mango Expands to Mexico in Deal with Cinemex

Red Mango is expanding to Mexico. Today, the Dallas-based chain and one of America's fastest-growing yogurt and smoothie brands announced its first international franchise agreement in an exclusive deal with Cinemex, the leading national chain with 184 movie theaters operating across Mexico. 

Cinemex will own and operate the Red Mango franchise with a goal of making Red Mango the leading frozen yogurt brand in Mexico.

Red Mango is in the Game

Red Mango, the fast-growing frozen-yogurt and smoothie quick serve, has taken its smoothies to the varsity level in a first-of-its-kind corporate partnership with Baylor University Athletics.

Never before has a deal been made between a fro-yo or smoothie quick serve and an NCAA Division 1-A college program, the company says. Red Mango will provide smoothies to Baylor athletes and strength training and conditioning staff in a move that emphasizes the impact of health and nutrition on athletic performance.

Red Mango Names Pizza Veteran Barron CEO

Red Mango Inc., one of the nation's fastest-growing retail franchise concepts, today announced the appointment of Barry M. Barron, Sr. as its chief executive officer.

Barron, a Dallas resident, brings extensive restaurant experience to the role, including six years leading Papa John's international expansion and 10 years in restaurant operations with Pizza Hut. Most recently, Barron was chief operating officer of ACE Cash Express, where he helped to grow the chain from 700 to 1,800 locations.

Red Mango Announces Record Year of Growth

Red Mango announced a record year of franchise expansion in 2010. The company awarded agreements for 147 new locations, opened 62 new stores, and grew the network to 102 total open stores across 25 states.
