Rita’s Italian Ice,the nation's largest Italian Ice concept with more than 625 outlets in 19 states, announced today it has introduced Secret Flavor Ice and a Secret Flavor Facebook Sweepstakes in outlets across the U.S.
Beginning today, Friday, August 3, guests can sample the new Secret Flavor Ice and enter their guess on Rita's Facebook page, and on Thursday, August 23, the new Secret Flavor will be revealed.
One lucky winner will receive an Apple iPad, and daily winners will be selected to win Free Ice for a Year during the promotional period.
Rita's Italian Ice announced today it raised $388,237 following the June conclusion of the company’s nationwide annual Paper Lemon Fundraising campaign and seventh annual partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a national nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer.
A check presentation took place yesterday with Hero Families and childhood cancer survivors, along with ALSF’s Jay Scott, accepting the donation and learning to scoop Rita’s famous Italian Ice alongside Jonathan Fornaci, chief executive of Rita’s Italian Ice.

Rita's Italian Ice has signed a new area franchise development agreement for part of Los Angeles County, California, and an area franchisee development agreement for Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao, also known as the ABC Islands.
The company also announced Scott Schubiger has joined the company as senior vice president of franchise sales. Schubiger, a sales veteran with more than 20 years of experience, will manage worldwide franchise development for the popular growing chain.
