How Much is Too Much?

In the age of social media, quick-service restaurants are increasingly championing their total accessibility with customers.

Many quick-service brands are harnessing the power of instant communication to directly link with fans in an effort to gain their input on the brand, create loyal guests, and recapture dissatisfied customers.

Three Saladworks Set to Open in Boston

Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, has announced an agreement with a multi-unit developer to open three stores in the next three years in Boston.

Franchisee Tien Tien Lai, owner of an IT consulting business in Boston, says Saladworks was an easy choice to make. “Like most Bostonians, I eat very well and I am very health conscious. From the time I arrived in Cape Cod from Taiwan, I studied ballet and I exercise regularly even today," she says.

Three's a Charm for Saladworks

Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise, has opened a new location in Centerville Square Shopping Center, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This is the third restaurant location for Lancaster-based Saladworks franchisees Curtis High and Jordan Rideout, and they are currently developing a fourth, slated to open by the end of the year.

High school friends turned business partners, High and Rideout each had more than a decade of experience in operations at a restaurant franchise and a large retail construction store, respectively.

The 10 Best Franchise Deals

For some, it’s an average sales-to-investment ratio nearing 2:1, dedicated corporate support that helps franchisees succeed, or a distinctive niche that carries marketplace allures.

For others, a good franchise deal boasts recent growth despite the nation’s economic woes, stable leadership that ensures consistent strategy, or consumer satisfaction ratings highlighting consumer interest.

Sophie's Salad Gets a Bigger Plug at Saladworks: TV

Saladworks announced that Sophie’s Salad will be available for $6.99 at all locations for the month of April.

Sophie’s Salad is a spring mix base combined with green apple slices, grilled chicken, bleu cheese, craisins, and candied pecans, all for 300 calories. The salad was introduced as a seasonal salad and became so popular that Saladworks added it to the core menu offering during the system-wide menu rollout in 2010. Sophie’s is now ranked as one of the most popular salads, next to classic menu items like the Bently and Tivoli salads.
