Catering Boosts Smiling Moose Sales

Smiling Moose Deli experienced a record-setting effort in 2010 for catering sales, and credits a fully customizable ‘made-to-order’ menu, backed by tremendous customer service, as the reason for their success.   

“First and foremost, our customers love our catering because they love our food. We don’t pre-make sandwiches and wait for an order,” says Smiling Moose Deli franchise president, Kevin Sloane. “The only way to cater a fresh meal is to make it the same day.”

Smiling Moose Deli Goes Mobile

Smiling Moose Deli, a Denver-area chain, partnered with Splick-it to release a new mobile ordering app for their customers.

Customers can use the app to order and pay for their meals by credit card. The customer's receipt is e-mailed to confirm the order.

"We know preparing good food takes time, and some of our downtown customers cannot afford to wait in line during their short lunch breaks," says Chris Lynne, brand manager of the Smiling Moose Deli.

"With this app, we've found a way to get our busiest customers the same great meal with no wait time," Lynne says.

Smiling Moose Deli Expands in Denver

The Smiling Moose Deli opened its 14th location in lower downtown Denver.  

“The lower downtown Denver community fully embraced us and the doors opened.  We have some customers who acknowledge eating in our restaurant every day," says franchise owner, David Boschert. "The response to our fresh food, inspired menu, and great personal service is already creating a loyal customer base.”

A new counter design allows a customer to see over 30 fresh salad ingredients, while the Coffee/Espresso Bar offers a wide variety of drinks and greater efficiency for the downtown pace.
