New Uncle Maddio's Deal to Take Brand to South Florida

Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint announced a franchise development agreement with successful entrepreneur and Golden Corral restaurant owner, John Verderame, to open three locations in South Florida. Verderame is part of explosive growth for the fast-casual pizza brand, which has opened 18 locations in less than three years and has an additional 150 units in development.

Verderame will initially open locations in Palm Beach and Broward County, the first Uncle Maddio’s in the area.

Next-Level Feedback

It wasn’t long ago when quick-serve guests were asked to fill out paper comment cards to help brands gather both positive and negative feedback.

However, with advancements in technology and customers’ growing reliance on cell phones and tablets, traditional guest-satisfaction surveys are quickly becoming a thing of the past, replaced by digital versions that can often monitor comments and concerns in real time.

Uncle Maddio's Puts Customers First with New CYO Salads

At Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, build-your-own-pizzas play the starring role, but this summer, there’s a new leading lady: Create-Your-Own-Salads. Known around Uncle Maddio’s as CYO Salads, this option gives diners carte blanche to build a custom, made-to-order salad using organic greens, hormone-free meat, locally sourced vegetables, and their choice of eight different made-in-house salad dressings.

Buying into Booze

Fast-casual restaurants were once able to claim premium food, modern décor, and all-around upscale service as hallmarks of their category. But with more quick-service chains retooling in those areas to compete for post-recession consumers, fast casuals have been left to search for new ways to differentiate their brands.

For many, that search has turned up something typically better suited to fine- and casual-dining joints: booze.
