Email this storyRead More About
Pizza Hut is pleased to announce that it has raised $40,416 to help assist victims of the communities affected by the recent Alabama tornadoes.
Last week, every Pizza Hut restaurant in Alabama participated in the fundraiser, donating 15 percent of May 12 sales to benefit United Way tornado relief efforts.
"We are incredibly moved by the community's support of our fundraising event and are pleased that their generosity will allow Pizza Hut to donate $40,000 to our neighbors affected by the storms," says Tom White, South Territory vice president of NPC International, Inc. "Thank you to all those who came out to support the fundraiser and to our employees throughout the state who worked hard to make this day a success."
The money raised from Pizza Hut's fundraising efforts will help the United Way assist the growing number of people in Alabama who need help as a result of the tornadoes.
