Auntie Anne’s Inc. recently announced the addition of Mele Sarmiento to its franchising sales team. Sarmiento, of Chicago, was hired as director of franchise sales and development.

This position is focused on presenting Auntie Anne’s franchising opportunities to entrepreneurs nationwide who are poised to join the world’s largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain and pursue targeted growth opportunities.

Prior to joining Auntie Anne’s, Sarmiento served as the vice president, business development for general growth properties. In total, she has more than 20 years of shopping center leasing, business development, and marketing experience.

Sarmiento holds an Associate of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles.
