On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina (OTB) is honoring veterans and active duty military with its free create-your-own-combo menu, the restaurant’s best-seller featuring more than 150 possible dinner combinations, on Veterans Day, November 11.

In addition, On The Border will extend its giving with a give-back event on Veterans Day at participating locations benefiting Carry the Load, a non-profit organization restoring the meaning of Memorial Day by assisting and honoring fallen heroes, veterans, active duty military, firefighters, law enforcement, and rescue personnel and their families. OTB will donate 15 percent of all eligible sales on Veterans Day from guests who bring in a give-back flyer.

“On The Border is humbled to say ‘thank you’ to those who have served our country,” says Steve Clark, On The Border’s chief executive officer. “On this day of honor and respect, we are proud to serve them at all On The Border restaurants in the U.S.”

Veterans and active duty military will receive a Choose 2 or Choose 3 selection from the create-your-own-combo menu, which features soups, salads, soft and crispy tacos, tostadas, enchiladas, empanadas, tamales, and more. Selections include Mexican rice, choice of beans, and bottomless chips and salsa.

To receive the free meal, guests will need to provide proof of military service, which include U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, DD214, Citation, or Commendation.
