Boston Market and Food Lion LLC have announced that they recently signed an agreement to bring ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat Boston Market meals to Food Lion supermarkets. The new concept debuted earlier this month in a Food Lion in Concord, North Carolina.

Under the agreement, Food Lion will sell Boston Market’s rotisserie chicken and meat loaf in a hot, ready-to-eat, take-and-go format and side dishes, soups, and salads in a ready-to-heat, take-and-go format. The companies have signed an agreement to test the concept in at least 10 Food Lion stores over the next 18 months.

Boston Market will introduce seasonal menu items throughout the year, including lemon herb rotisserie chicken, Asian pork loin, barbeque ribs, and a fresh turkey breast.

The Boston Market take-and-go concept will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Customers pick up what they want, add the items to their cart, and pay at the register when they’ve finished shopping.
