Burger King Corp. announced a partnership with Visa that will benefit Have It Your Way Foundation in support of education and give 50 Visa and Burger King customers a chance to take home a $1,000 Visa gift card.

Today through October 5, 2008, Burger King customers who use their Visa card for purchases at approximately 7,200 participating Burger King restaurants in the U.S. are automatically entered for a chance to win a $1,000 from Visa gift card. For each winner, Visa will also donate $1,000 to Have It Your Way Foundation’s Burger King Scholars program.

In total, 50 winners will each receive a $1,000 Visa gift card, and Visa will also donate $50,000 to the Burger King Scholars Program, which is Have It Your Way Foundation’s educational cornerstone. The Foundation provides scholarships to commendable high school seniors across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, and expands the positive impact Burger King Corp. has on local communities.

“Have It Your Way Foundation is grateful to Visa for providing additional scholarship funds for deserving candidates,” says Ivette Diaz, director of corporate social responsibility for Burger King Corp. “Not only does this promotion help further our commitment to education, but it also provides an additional incentive for our guests who can potentially win $1,000.”
