Burger Lounge Brings its Buns to Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills, here’s a thrill! Burger Lounge, the eco-conscious concept from San Diego, is opening its second Los Angeles location on Beverly Drive on July 25.
The certified green, fast-casual restaurant, dedicated to using fresh produce and healthful ingredients sourced from sustainable environments, opened its first Los Angeles locale in West Hollywood in December 2011.
With the opening of its Beverly Hills outpost, Burger Lounge will donate a portion of proceeds from the first three days of business to local youth gardening evangelist Mud Baron and retired science teacher Doss Jones’ student-run CSA program and school garden at John Muir High School in Pasadena. The program is intended to educate students and provide them and local residents with access to fresh produce.
On Opening Day, Wednesday, July 25, all proceeds from the sale of The Lounge Burger (made with fresh 100 percent single-source, American grass-fed beef) will be donated to the cause.
On Thursday, July 26, all proceeds from the new Organic Quinoa Salad (with roasted baby spinach, corn, tomato, arugula, spinach, kale, red onion, toasted almonds, feta, and smoked tomato vinaigrette) will be donated.
On the final day, Friday, July 27, all proceeds from the All Natural Turkey Burger made with free-range Shelton Farms turkey will be donated. In addition to the proceeds from each day’s featured item, Burger Lounge will also donate the compost materials accumulated from all three days of service.
“Baron and Jones’ program really speaks to the core of what we strive to do at Burger Lounge–source ingredients from vendors we know and trust to provide our guests with a burger they can feel better about eating,” says Burger Lounge president and CEO J. Dean Loring. “We are honored to support a cause that shares our commitment to building awareness about where our food comes from and encourages the use of fresh produce.”
In addition to the menu items included in the charitable opening festivities, the stream-lined, modern space on the corner of South Beverly Drive and Gregory Way, will feature additional health-conscious burgers, craveable sides and salads, and an extensive beverage program decked out with everything from shakes to floats to Maine Root soda.
Diners can enjoy their fare inside the 900 square foot space that’s outfitted with 18 interior seats, dine al fresco style on the patio that offers 14 additional seats, or take their lunch or dinner to go. The open kitchen offers an inside peek at the care that goes into the always fresh, made-to-order burgers, carefully curated for every guest.
“Even though this is our eigth location, the core values remain unchanged from when we founded Burger Lounge in 2007,” Loring says. “We strive to give our guests a pure and authentic product that harkens back to a simpler time. No gimmicks, just good, clean, real food.”
Burger Lounge’s Beverly Hills outpost is located at 281 S. Beverly Drive near Olympic Boulevard.
