California Tortilla Seeking a New LTO, NCAA-Style

It's NCAA playoff season, and everyone’s got basketball fever--including California Tortilla. This year, the fast casual chain invites customers to get in on the action with the first annual Elito 8 Tournament: it’s up to Cal Tort fans to determine the next limited time offer, as eight possible menu items go head-to-head for the popular vote.

The Elito 8 will be revealed on "Selection Monday" on Facebook and the California Tortilla website. In Round 1, beginning March 30 and running through April 2, fans have a chance to vote for their favorites in four brackets: first, they're pitting vegetarians against seafood lovers; second round, it’s All-American in one corner, the flavors of Thailand in the other; next up it’s street versus meat; and finally, a carnivore showdown.
 
The winners of each round will move on to the Semifinals, held April 3 and 4, culminating in the Championship on Friday, April 5. The victor gets the honor of becoming California Tortilla’s next limited-time featured menu item. And one very lucky, randomly-selected voter will win a catered NCAA Championship viewing party for twenty guests -- and a big screen TV to watch the game in style.
 
Fans can visit the Cal Tort blog to meet the teams and read their stories, then cast their vote, once per day online. Each vote counts as one entry into the prize drawing. Winners will be announced Saturday, April 6, just in time for the big game.
