As promotional support for winning “Best Burrito” in a Washingtonian Magazine readers poll, East Coast quick-serve California Tortilla will host a “Secret Password Day” on Wednesday, July 22. On that day, customers who buy a burrito and use a special password when ordering will receive a buy-one-get-one-free coupon that they can use on the spot or within one week.

The password will be announced through the company’s Taco Talk e-mail newsletter and will be posted on their Facebook and Twitter pages several days in advance, giving their online followers access to the discount.

“This promotion in celebration of our Washingtonian Magazine readers poll award really hits home with the fact that our loyal customers are a club, a family,” says president Bob Phillips. “We want our brand fanatics to convert their friends with the free burrito.”

The “Secret Password Day” promotion follows on the heels of the company’s radio script writing contest, also in support of the Washingtonian Magazine poll, where customers are asked to explain why California Tortilla has the best burritos.
