Charleys, known for its Charley’s Grilled Subs and Charleys Philly Steaks concepts, recently opened its first Charleys Philly Steaks in Poland on March 22.

The new restaurant is located in the country’s capital, Warsaw, at the Blue City Mall.

The new Charleys restaurant in Warsaw marks the first Charleys Philly Steaks in Poland and is part of the company’s larger international expansion plans.

Charleys already has a presence in several international markets, including Japan, Germany, Brazil, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.

“Entering Poland for the first time is exciting for us, and we are looking forward to offering Warsaw residents our superior selection of hot, fresh-grilled sandwiches made to order,” says Bob Wright, president and chief operating officer of Charleys.

Charleys offers only 100 percent USDA Choice steak, all-natural cheeses, and fresh produce prepared daily. Founded in 1986 by Charley Shin, the company’s CEO, Charleys has grown to nearly 500 locations worldwide in 48 states, two U.S. territories (Guam and Puerto Rico), and 20 countries.

The restaurant brand will be opening roughly 60 new locations in 2013, including three other new international markets: Egypt, the Bahamas, and Guyana.
