Checkers Salutes RTI as Supplier of the Year

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc., recognized Restaurant Technology, Inc. (RTI) as a winner of its 2011 Supplier of the Year Award for its back office software, RTIconnect, which Checkers uses to control food and labor costs in its corporate restaurants.

The award was presented to RTI President Jim Clutter at the Checkers/Rally’s annual convention in September at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. It follows completion of the company’s transition from an in-house back office system to full implementation of RTIconnect in all 296 corporate locations. Checkers also endorses RTI as vendor-of-choice for its franchisees.

“RTI is honored to receive this award and privileged to play a role in Checkers & Rally’s growth and success,” Clutter says. “We were pleased when Checkers initially chose RTIconnect as its back office solution and our relationship has matured since then as I believe we have strengthened our respective businesses.”

In the Checkers corporate restaurants RTIconnect interfaces with the existing Aloha POS software for seamless integration of data into Checkers corporate accounting, payroll, and reporting systems.

Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. is the largest double drive-thru restaurant chain in the United States and is parent company of both Checkers and Rally’s concepts. The Supplier of the Year Award follows Checkers’ annual assessment of progress and achievement with its suppliers.
