The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Donald Trump was at the awards ceremony where he addressed attendees from many different areas of the national business community and received the Lifetime Achievement Stevie Award.
Checkers®/Rally's® was also named 2005 Finalist in four other categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best Franchisee, and Best TV Ad Campaign. In 2004, Steven Cohen, senior vice president of human resources at Checkers/Rally's, won the Stevie Award for Best HR Executive.
“We are thrilled that the American Business Awards have recognized Checkers/Rally's excellence in Human Resources for the second year in a row,” says Keith E. Sirois, president and CEO of Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. “Our people are integral to the success of our Company, and we take pleasure in investing in their development and rewarding our top performers with best- in-class incentives. I would like to congratulate Steve Cohen and our entire HR team for their dedication to our training, incentive, and HR programs.”
“With the support of our hard-working management teams, restaurant crews and corporate employees, says Cohen, “the Checkers/Rally's HR Organization has been able to develop and implement award-winning training and incentive programs that focus on employee satisfaction and retention.”
The Checkers/Rally's HR Organization is a team of seven who support over 5,000 employees.
