Church’s Partners Foundation, the nonprofit entity established by Church’s Chicken to bring educational opportunities to deserving young people, announced the appointment of their newest board member, Jill Suwanski. The volunteer board is responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, and expanding the amount of scholarships the group can award each year. Since its inception two years ago, the foundation has awarded nearly a quarter-million dollars in scholarships to students in 18 states.

Suwanksi also serves as the senior director, Associate General Counsel for Church’s Chicken, a position she has held since September 2014.  Prior to joining Church’s Chicken, Suwanski was employed at the law firm of Baker Donelson in Nashville, Tennessee, and an associate at the law firm of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to her professional career, Suwanski has been actively involved in community service for many years, earning the Lewis R. Donelson Public Service Award while at Baker Donelson.

Suwanski also worked as an organizer of the H.E.L.P. (Homeless Experience Legal Protection) program at Room in the Inn in Nashville and previously held board positions with the Young Jacksonian Society at the Hermitage (the home of President Andrew Jackson in Nashville), the Kentucky Wesleyan College Alumni Board, the University of Kentucky College of Law Alumni Board, and the Yearlings: a nonprofit organization that raises money for charities and scholarships in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area.
