The family-run specialty coffee and tea retailer, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, is a resident in Camp Pendleton as of June 25 with the addition of a new store located in the Main Side Center of the U.S. Marine Corps Base in San Diego’s North County. The new location was opened by franchisee Bobby Azinian, who also opened the neighboring Johnny Rockets, another California brand like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

The 1500+ square foot location includes a drive through window, allowing customers to order beverages and food without leaving their vehicles, along with a large patio with outside seating. The Coffee Bean is the first and only gourmet coffee house on the Marine Base. The store kicked off with a three-day grand opening celebration July 8, 9 and 10 during which raffles, live music, family activities and free samples were provided.

“We were thrilled and honored when Camp Pendleton approached us to open a store on base,” says Bob Kaufman, vice president of business development at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. “We knew Bobby Azinian would be the perfect franchisee to build and manage the The Coffee Bean store, with the added bonus of being able to bring Johnny Rockets on to the base as well. We are proud to have him as a franchise developer.”

As in all of its locations, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Camp Pendleton store will offer 32 varieties of Arabica coffee that are custom roasted at its facility in Camarillo, California. The stores will also offer more than 30 varieties of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaffull leaf teas as well as baked goods and a full line of complementary coffee and tea merchandise.
