Cold Stone Branches Out into Branded Merchandise

Starting May 1, Cold Stone Creamery, in conjunction with Jelly Belly, will introduce the Jelly Belly Ice Cream Parlor jelly bean mix. Flavors currently being considered include: Our Strawberry Blonde, Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Apple Pie a la Cold Stone, Birthday Cake Remix, and Chocolate Devotion. The Jelly Belly Ice Cream Parlor jelly beans will be distributed through mass, mid-tier, and specialty retail outlets such as Target, Macys, and Urban Outfitters. Depending on the size of the package, the beans will range in price from $1.25 to $18.99 with mixed beans being on the lower price end and gift sets being on the higher end.

Starting in April, a line of ice cream- and sorbet-flavored lip balms housed in whimsical tins and pint shapes bearing the Cold Stone name will be in stores. As of press time, Cold Stone was considering releasing Raspberry Sorbet, Lemon Sorbet, Watermelon Sorbet, Vanilla Bean, Our Strawberry Blonde, and Cotton Candy flavors. The balms will be sold exclusively at Claire's accessories shops before moving onto additional specialty and mid-tier retailers, across the country, including Urban Outfitters and Macys. The balms will sell for approximately $5.50.
