The HACCP Manager Handheld Device is now more secure than ever. Its new login PIN functionality is designed specifically to secure user-collected data. The handheld instrument simplifies both the recording of food product temperatures and the monitoring of corrective actions in foodservice environments. It features a high level of accuracy (±1˚F) and extended temperature range up to 999.9˚F, stores as many as 3,000 temperatures and allows for 1500 checklist records. In order to protect all recorded data, the new login functionality requires the user to provide a 5-digit personal identification number (PIN) to begin using the handheld, ensuring the correct user name is associated with the temperature and checklist records collected. PIN numbers are maintained with permission levels and can only be modified by manager-level employees. The water-resistant handheld is protected by a durable rubber boot that now includes a side storage slot, to safely contain thermocouple probes while not in use.
