David Prows, Costa Vida’s executive chef, was recently honored with a President’s Medallion from the American Culinary Federation for his service to the organization and the culinary profession.

Chef Prows was awarded this honor as a result of his work as chairman of the American Culinary Federation Western Convention. As the mastermind behind Utah’s largest culinary gathering, Chef Prows was responsible for coordinating and executing all the conference’s activities designed to help fellow chefs improve their craft.

“Chef Prows was recognized for his service to the culinary industry and involvement with this year’s ACF Western Regional Conference, serving as chairman,” says John Kinsella, CMC, CCE, WGMC, AAC, ACF National President. “He is a well-deserving recipient of a President’s Medallion.”

Costa Vida is proud to have its executive chef play such an active role in the development of other culinary professionals through his work at the ACF.

“Costa Vida’s motto is ‘Eat Fresh, Live Inspired’ and Chef Prows serves as an example of this motto through his efforts at the ACF by sharing his talents with others,” says Nathan Gardner, CEO of Costa Vida. “We encourage all our employees to be involved within their communities and look for opportunities to live inspired.”
