The third and newest installment of the popular Signature Series at Saladworks is the Chicken Asparagusto salad designed by world-famous chef and restaurateur David Burke.

“Saladworks is honored to have a chef of David Burke’s caliber as part of our Signature Series,” says Chairman and CEO John Scardapane. “We believe the Chicken Asparagusto salad will be a refreshing and healthy menu addition for the summer months.”

The Chicken Asparagusto salad is a healthy mix of fresh chicken and grilled asparagus along with cucumbers, sweet peppers, and almonds on a bed of iceberg and romaine lettuce. It is topped with a creamy Caesar dressing.

As part of the Signature Series program, Saladworks donates $5,000 to the charity of the chef’s choice. Burke’s charity is Table to Table, a community-based program which collects prepared and perishable food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it free of charge to homeless shelters, drug rehab centers, and other places in need in Northern New Jersey.

The Chicken Asparagusto salad is available beginning July 15 at all 95 Saladworks locations until September 30, when the next Signature Series salad is revealed.

Burke is the owner of numerous high-end restaurants across the country including davidburke & donatella in Manhattan, David Burke Las Vegas and David Burke’s Primehouse in Chicago. In 1998, Burke was voted “Chef of the Year” by Chef Magazine. At age 26, he became the first American to win France’s coveted Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Diplome d’Honneur for skill and creativity with his native cuisine.

Past celebrity chef salads in the Signature Series include the Wild Alaskan Grilled Salmon Salad from Philadelphia chef Jim Coleman and the Avocadolicious Salad from television chef Hope Cohen.
