A leading consumer review magazine named Del Taco as having the “Best Value for Your Money” in its annual survey, “America’s Best Fast Food (and the Worst).” The results appeared in the August 2014 issue of the magazine and were based on opinions of 96,000 diners nationwide, who had meals at 65 restaurant chains.

The findings also revealed that Americans are spending more money than ever on dining out, but are demanding more value, higher quality, and greater variety when it comes to their fast-food choices.

"With more value choices than ever before, it is a great accomplishment for our brand to be recognized by diners nationwide as offering more bang for the buck,” says John Cappasola, chief brand officer for Del Taco LLC. “We are committed to maintaining our leadership position in this space by providing our guests with what they want: a wide variety of fresh, great tasting food at an unbeatable value—and the Buck & Under Menu delivers on that promise.”

At Del Taco, the Buck & Under Menu items start at just $0.50. From Mini Quesadillas, made with Cheddar cheese; to CrunchTada Tostadas; half-pound Bean & Cheese Burritos; and Double Beef Classic Tacos, guests can choose from a variety of menu items. In addition, the Buck & Under Menu includes refreshing drinks, including Strawberry Lemonade and Fresh Brewed Iced Tea, all for $1 or less.

Guests can also choose from a wide variety of breakfast items on the Buck & Under at Breakfast Menu, including Breakfast Tacos, Hashbrown Sticks, and Iced Coffee.

It is this same freshness and value proposition that defines the Del Taco brand, which for more than 50 years has built a reputation for providing Mexican and American favorites. Del Taco continues to raise the bar in the quick-service space with product innovations and focus on using fresh ingredients, including Cheddar cheese grated daily from 40-pound blocks, lard-free beans slow-cooked every three hours, handmade pico de gallo salsa chopped daily, and marinated chicken grilled in the restaurant.
