Dickey’s Beefs Up Catering Sales

Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc. beefed up catering sales efforts by introducing a national catering hotline. The Dickey’s Barbecue national hotline announced sales from this new channel have surged over the $5 million mark and continue to break monthly sales records, making Dickey’s one of the number one barbecue catering service in the nation.

 

Catering sales continue to be a robust business channel for us,” says Roland Dickey, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc. “Even in an anemic economy, we’re seeing continued expansion in this segment of our business – this includes both business-to-business and consumer catering.”

 

Dickey’s Barbecue national catering hotline vets almost 3,000 calls and on-line inquiries monthly and the business heats up during the holidays. The phone line gives customers direct access to live catering experts who answer questions, customize orders, and recommend options. Catering services ranges from personal box lunches to full-service buffet for any size. The hotline aims to personalize the catering process while maintaining ease and affordability.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has added almost 100 new locations in the last twelve months. The new growth makes the demand for catering services even greater. The catering hotline takes catering orders for any franchise location from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST daily with an answering service ongoing 24 hours a day.
