Dickey's Barbecue is getting ready for swimsuit weather and barbecue season. The restaurant chain known for its lip smackin', rib ticklin', foot stompin' barbecue has created great tasting menu options that are all under 600 calories.

"When you think of barbecue, you normally don't consider it a healthy option, but at Dickey's you can still enjoy great taste without the high calories," says Roland Dickey, Jr.

"We are committed to providing options that fit in to a healthy lifestyle."

Studies have shown that you can have a meal that is both quick and healthy. The Mayo Clinic released a study that lists smaller portion size, healthier or green sides and cutting extra calories from sodas and desserts as options to eat quick-serve food at a lower calorie index.

Dickey's Barbecue has taken this study to heart when creating options that will allow its hardcore barbecue fans their favorite barbecue at a lower calorie point.

OPTION 1:
4 ounces of smoked turkey breast, a dry "Baker" potato, green beans and Dickey's Signature Barbecue Sauce = 543 calories.
OPTION 2:
4 ounces of smoked chicken breast, Caesar salad with no croutons, and original potato salad = 367 calories.
OPTION 3:
4 ounces of smoked ham, green beans, Caesar salad with no croutons, and Dickey's Signature Barbecue Sauce = 544 calories
OPTION 4:
4 ounces of lean brisket, dry "Baker" Potato, and barbecue beans = 567 calories

"We are thrilled to announce our healthier options menu for our customers," says Joette Young, Director of Marketing for Dickey's Barbecue.
