Doc Popcorn, the first and only fresh-popped, all-natural flavored popcorn franchise in the world, announced today the appointment of food industry veteran Garth Moore as chief operations officer, a newly created position designed to streamline operations, further increase support, and accelerate growth of its rapidly expanding franchise system.

 
Moore will oversee all aspects of operations, purchasing and distribution, training, construction, and support.

Moore is a seasoned veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant and franchising industry. Most recently, Moore held the position of U.S. director of operations for Extreme Pita where he was responsible for purchasing and contracts, logistics and distribution, construction, operations and support, and training and marketing. Prior to that, he served as vice president at Eatza Pizza, director at Cold Stone Creamery, and held various positions of increasing responsibility at Taco Bell. Garth studied hotel and restaurant administration from the highly acclaimed program at Washington State University.
 
Doc Popcorn is a multi-billion dollar snack business with more than 60 open locations and an additional 300 units currently under development. Opening an average of one location per week, the company projects to have 100 units open by the end of 2012, positioning Doc Popcorn as the national leader in its industry.
