DQ Grills and Chills in Corpus Christi, Texas

The Dairy Queen system's newest restaurant concept has opened its doors in Corpus Christi, Texas. The 2,725-square-foot DQ Grill & Chill restaurant has added 45 new jobs, contributed to Corpus Christi's employment growth. 

The new restaurant will also contribute to the state's restaurant sales, which are projected to increase by 4.1 percent this year, according to the National Restaurant Association.

"We are excited to open the Corpus Christi DQ Grill & Chill restaurant and welcome the community in to enjoy our full menu of crave-able food items, cool treats, and Orange Julius specialty fruit smoothies and drinks," says restaurant operator Robert Lozano. "The new restaurant is sure to become a location where families and friends can gather to share smiles and stories over a great meal and treats."

The DQ restaurant concept blends the best of DQ iconic history with the most modern innovations in the quick-service restaurant industry. The Texas Country Foods menu features the quarter- and half-pound Hungr-Buster made to order with premium flavor options, as well as other food items like the Texas T-Brand Tacos. 

Grilled and Crispy Chick'n Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches, and the Chick'n Strip or Steak Finger Country Basket are also available for either lunch or dinner. 

The new restaurant will also feature all of the DQ treat favorites, such as the iconic Blizzard treats, MooLatte frozen coffee-flavored beverages, Blizzard Cakes, and a wide variety of other soft-serve items.

The DQ Grill & Chill restaurant interior brings an innovative dimension to quick-service restaurant dining. Highlighted by the modern open-air grill and separate "Grill" and "Chill" sections, the restaurant features comfortable booths and large wooden tables, warm lighting, music, and an overall inviting environment.

The restaurant can seat 75 guests inside with patio seating outside and also offers a drive-thru window.
