DQ Officer Named Chair of Children’s Miracle Hospitals
American Dairy Queen Corporation Chief Brand Officer Michael Keller has been named chair of the board of governors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America. Keller has served on the board of governors since 2005.
The board of governors is responsible for providing corporate leadership to help keep Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals on the leading edge of corporate fund raising. The board provides ideas and direction for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ senior management team to help identify and develop potential new corporate partners. Keller will serve a two-year term as board chair.

One of the top 10 contributors to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Dairy Queen system has raised more than $81 million for the organization since 1984 through various activities including Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day, which raises millions of dollars in one day. Each year on Miracle Treat Day in August, participating DQ restaurants in the U.S.and Canada donate $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold to local hospitals. Last year, Miracle Treat Day raised $4.6 million.
As Chief Brand Officer, Keller is responsible for the marketing, brand concept, and product strategies for American Dairy Queen Corporation in the U.S., Canada, and internationally. A nationally recognized marketing expert, Keller is a valued guest speaker to such organizations as the National Restaurant Association, the Association of National Advertisers, and the American Marketing Association. Keller has received numerous awards including Brand Marketer of the Year by PR News. He also serves as an expert source for stories in print, online, on television, and in trade publications nationally and regionally.
Keller also serves on two boards for the PACERCenterin Minneapolis, including serving as chair of the Marketing Advisory Board. Keller also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Lake Country School, an AMI certified Montessori school in Minneapolis.
