Dunkin' Donuts Heads South for Newest Unit Opening

Borderland, Texas, residents have one more reason to enjoy their mornings: a new Dunkin' Donuts shop that opened on March 12, 2013.

The Dunkin' Donuts location hosted a grand-opening celebrate that awarded customers who stopped in between 4:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. with a free iced or hot coffee.

Sizzling Platter, a Utah-based restaurant management company, operates four additional Dunkin' Donuts in the El Paso, Texas, area.

"We are thrilled to have this Dunkin' Donuts site open its doors, and look forward to being a bigger part of El Paso's vibrant business community," says Mark Howe, vice president of operations.

Sizzling Platter built the new location from the ground up, and it features a drive thru. The new store will employ 40 local workers.

"We are very excited to grow Dunkin' Donuts in the Sun City," says Ted Morton, Sizzling Platter CEO. 

Sizzling Platter operates and manages restaurant locations aross seven western states under the Dunkin' Donuts, Little Caesars, Red Robin, and Hoppers Grill & Brewery brands.
