Dunkin’ Donuts announced that this year’s Iced Coffee Day generated $160,000 in funds for Hasbro Children’s Hospital. All day on May 20, participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants donated $1.00 for every cup sold (of all sizes) to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

“We are thrilled with the results of this year’s Iced Coffee Day,” says Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “Thanks to our loyal and generous guests, this annual promotion has generated more than $900,000 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and we are excited to use these funds to continue to make a positive impact on the hospital and its patients.”

Since the 2010 inception of this annual fundraiser, Dunkin' Donuts franchisees have raised $918,395 for Hasbro Children's Hospital. The funds have resulted in tangible improvements to the facility, including the creation and production of activity books for patients, a new play area in the pediatric ambulatory clinic, and a renovated Dunkin’ Donuts-themed Family Room. Funds from the 2014 program helped launch the 4-Safety Program, a partnership between Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Dunkin’ Donuts that raises awareness and educates families about ways they can reduce their risk of injury and live healthier, safer lives.

“We remain incredibly grateful to Dunkin’ Donuts, their franchisees and customers for the outpouring of generosity they’ve demonstrated on behalf of Hasbro Children’s Hospital,” says Margaret M. Van Bree, president of Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. “Funds raised through Iced Coffee Day directly impact the patients and families we care for, not only in helping us provide the extra programs and activities that support a family during a hospital stay, but also in allowing us to take our hospital’s expertise out into the community to keep children safe through the 4-Safety Program—our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this year’s effort."
